Black, white, and yellow weddings are huge right now.  Everywhere I look, brides are turning to these colors for their weddings.  I love this vibrant and bold palette.  I’m sharing a few of my favorite inspiration images with you today!

I am starting to toy with color schemes and other wedding design ideas.  For over a year now, I’ve loved black, white, and green as a color scheme.  Then I made a post about those colors.  That post is by far the most-viewed on this blog, and that color palette is popping up all over the web.  I’m not sure that I want to have the same wedding design as so many other brides.  Then again, if I love it so much, does it really matter?

Anyway, one of the other color schemes I’m considering is white.  Yep, just shades of white.  Maybe with a few hints of beige and gold.  I haven’t created an inspiration board for this scheme yet.  I’m planning a future mega-post, with a few different inspiration boards, to see my choices side-by-side.

Instead, I’m bringing to the blog the bridesmaids’ look.  I love the look of whites, especially when each bridesmaid chooses her own dress, of any style.  Evidence that this looks beautiful, courtesy of Jasmine Star:

Upon seeing this photo, I headed to my go-to source for dresses, Nordstrom, then to a great shoe shop, Zappos, to create this possible bridal party look.

It would be so nice and easy to tell my bridesmaids to find a white dress and a neutral shoe, and leave it at that.  I definitely plan on making things easy for my bridesmaids.  This can be done with any color really.  It is done a lot with black, and I’ve seen images all over the web with all sorts of different bridal party looks.  There really are no rules anymore, and I’m loving it!

I have been in love with red and turquoise for a couple of years now, but never thought to do an inspiration board featuring it. Then I ran across a photo on Jonathan Canlas’ blog (photo of couple at center) a year or so ago, and wanted to build a wedding around it. Sadly, I have just now gotten around to it! Inspiration boards take me awhile to do, considering i painstakingly search for photos on my crawling dial-up internet. Also, I try not to just take photos from popular wedding inspiration sites and paste them together. I try to create a certain feel, and make you feel like you were at the “wedding” pictured.

I picture this wedding as being heavily stark white, with loud punches of turquoise and red in unexpected places. It is whimsical, light-hearted, and modern. I think this is my favorite board to date!

I just discovered a gorgeous blue and green inspiration board on Style Me Pretty.  This comes from a SMP reader, and is so simply pretty.  I really adore the blue dress and the green and blue paisley print card.

I have been working on this board for a long time.  I’ve been really busy, and have been very choosy about what is on this one.  I guess that’s because it is one of my top color scheme ideas for my own wedding, so it had to perfectly fit my vision.  What is that vision, you ask?  Eclectic, kitschy, gypsy-boho-yet-modern-and-crisp.  Weird, I know.  But I love the end result!  This scheme defies defining specific shades and hues.. it incorporates many shades of blue and green.  Inspired by the moon brooch, here it is…
